Back to a hobby again

In September, I started a new job with Verizon Wireless. It is taking most of my time as I'm working about 60 hours a week, which doesn't leave much time to add chips to the website. As a result, chips have gone back into the hobby category. I'll add chips as I can. I will, however, continue to ship orders promptly as they come in.

I've just completed listing over 100 LE's from the Tropicana in Las Vegas. These will be the last chips listed until after the CC & GTCC in Las Vegas next week. If you want a chip, please order it by Fri as I won't be able to fill any orders after that until I get home from Las Vegas. In addition, most of these LE's will be sold at the convention so get yours while you can!

Chip A Day through the end of May promotion comes to an end

The 'Chip a Day through the End of May' promotion has ended. I hope you enjoyed it. It was a nice challenge for me and resulted in me getting over 500 chips listed.

I'll continue to add chips between now and the CC & GTCC Convention in June. Most chips will be older Limited Editions that will be priced just a dollar or two above face value. Get them now because they won't last long. They will probably be sold at the convention.

Riviera Limited Editions added

I've recently added over 40 Limited Edition chips from the Riviera. Almost all of them are priced about a buck or two above face value. It's a great opportunity to fill in some gaps in the older LE collection of yours. Next week I'll add nearly 100 older Tropicana LE's.

New category added - TITO's!

I've added a new category to the website - TITO's! TITO stands for 'Ticket In Ticket Out'. TITO's are used when cashing out of slot machines. You can take your ticket to another machine and use it as cash. TITO's haven't made it to table games yet. Just look for the TITO image under the 'Other Items' section on the front page of the website.

Oops! Every other week I go to my little getaway in East Texas. I bring a flash drive with the images of chips and I upload a few while I'm here.

This trip, I forgot the flash drive and left it in Shreveport. So I'll be taking a break from the 'Chip a Day through the End of May' promotion for a couple of days, but I'll get back to uploading chips on Saturday.

59 chips were added in the first ten days of 'A Chip a Day through the end of May'! I added the 60th chip on Sunday and I may only be adding one chip each day for the next few days since I'm working on some programming issues.
Once I get back up to speed, though, I'll be adding over 350 chips from the Bob Feeney collection. There will be chips from all over the US, foreign countries, cruise ships, and some $2.50's. It is a collection worth watching for so check back often.

Announcing 'A Chip a Day through the end of May'!! From now until the last day of May, I will add at least one chip to the website every day. That's seven days a week which means over 100 chips will be added by the end of May.

More often than not, I'll be adding more than one chip, though, so it's sure to mean lots and lots of chips will be added! Supplies are limited on most of my inventory so order your favorite as soon as it's listed!

Just added - the Gold Coast rodeo $5 chips from 1996 to 2002. The Gold Coast started this series in 1996 and it continues today. For the first time, I've broken up the sets so you can buy chips individually.

Older Fiesta LE chips added

I found the Fiesta binder! I've uploaded 128 chips to the website. Most of them from the two Fiestas, with a few Fitzgerald's thrown in. They are priced to sell so take this opportunity to fill in some holes in the older LE collection of yours.

Happy New Year to all! I trust everyone had a great holiday season - I know I did. I've been working away on the website, even though it doesn't necessarily seem to show it right now. Lots of 'behind the scenes' changes. One of them is the link to the TyrusRex Facebook page. Please like it once you get there so you won't miss any announcements. Website re-opened!

Welcome to TyrusRex. Well, I finally got the chip business re-opened. Did you think it would ever happen? I know I had my doubts! There were numerous delays for so many reasons. Because of so many difficulties, the inventory selection is very limited right now, but I'll be adding inventory regularly for the next year. So keep watching.

As you can tell, it's an all-new website. Nothing like the old website. Again, several reasons for this. I hope you enjoy the new version of the wesite and have some fun using it. Oh, and don't forget to buy some chips while you're here!

Re-opening date moved back

Well, it looks like I won't be making the April re-opening date that I had hoped for. I took a position with the Eldorado casino in Shreveport a couple of weeks ago.

I am going to get the chip site open as soon as I can, but I need to get settled into the new place in Shreveport first.
